PREORDER - 2026 Advent 4 Weekly - A Court of Yarn and Stitches
This year, we are going on an adventure. So join me and discover a world of colour in…
A Court of Yarn and Stitches
In the quiet hours before dawn, when the world is still and the air holds its breath, a shimmer of colour appears at the edge of your vision. It flickers like a stray thread caught on moonlight — soft, insistent, impossible to ignore. When you reach for it, the thread curls around your fingers, warm as a heartbeat, and the world shifts.
Long ago, the Great Loom held this world together. Its threads stretched across forests and mountains, through moonlit fields and winter caves. But something has begun to unravel. Colours that once sang in harmony now flicker and fade. The Loom calls out for help — and it has chosen you.
You find yourself standing at the threshold of a realm woven from magic. Here, every colour hums with intention. Your journey begins at the Alizarin Falls, where a restless drop of colour waits to be found. From there, the path will carry you through the Quinacridone Fields, where colour begins to stir; across the Haze Mountains, where mist remembers what the world has forgotten; into the Turquoise Caves, where light bends itself into secrets; and finally to the Phthalo Forest, where ancient trees whisper truths only the patient can hear.
Each day, a new colour will reveal itself — a fragment of magic, a piece of the story, a thread meant for your hands alone.
Some threads will comfort you. Some will challenge you. Some will remind you of things you thought you’d forgotten. But all of them will guide you toward the final weaving, where the fate of this world — and the tapestry you create — will come together at last.
So open each door slowly. Let the colours speak. Let the story unfold one stitch at a time.
The Courts are waiting.
The Loom is waking.
The story is ready to weave.

Yarn Bases
Yarn Bases
Are you feeling a bit perplexed by the world of yarns and fibers? You're not alone! When I first began working with yarn, I was lost when it came to selecting the right type of yarn base for my projects. To assist you in your journey, I've compiled a list of the yarns we dye here at Blue Fern Yarns.

Care Information
Care Information
To preserve its quality, we recommend hand washing with your preferred wool wash in cool water. Some slight colour bleeding may occur during the initial wash, which is normal
Useful Information
Useful Information
Please note that each skein of yarn is hand-dyed, resulting in unique variations between them. We suggest alternating skeins throughout your project to create a more uniform look. If you purchase multiple skeins of the same colourway, they will be from the same dye-lot unless otherwise specified. We take great care to ensure consistency between dye-lots, but as with all hand-dyed yarn, some variations may occur.
